Should I sew fancy handbags like my moms friend or try an info-product internet business?
My family believs I should get myself a better job and if I absolutly have to have a business of my own, why don’t I make a nice product you can touch and feel and sell it on markets?
The answer is easy: I don’t want to make the experience this guy was facing when he started:
“When I was 19, I started out trying to sell specialty downhill skateboards (longboards) that I made in a shed in some guy’s backyard that I rented for 50 bucks a month. I sold them on Ebay, off of my website directly, to retailers and also through a distributor that picked up my products a little later on.
Long story short – the profit margins sucked and I was growing tired of breathing in sawdust all day long while making about as much money as the average 14-year-old kid at a fast-food restaurant. So I decided to try and do something that would create passive income – something that would support my ideal lifestyle of worldwide travel, surfing, driving fancy cars – and the honor of being in a position to be generous to others in need.
My “lightbulb moment” idea was, of course, internet marketing – making money automatically by building websites that would “run themselves”. I had a lot to learn, and it was a rough road for a bit, but eventually, things “clicked”, and the sales started rolling in.”
This is a quote from someone named Chris Rempel and I just copied it for the simple purpose to hold it under my mothers nose.
Of course it isn’t that easy to start an internet business but it is far more rewarding than producing something with your own hands and selling it. The second is a hobby! You will make some money but for a real income you will have to work many hours everyday.
I have a friend doing this and making wonderfull jewelery out of sand. He manages making a living out of it but he has to keep it up.
I work in a small shop selling potato sallads and the business is owned by a family. They have imployees but the owners and their two grown upp daughters work all the time! They are there when I come and they still work when I go home. Their business is doing well but it owns them instead of the other way round!
There has to be a better way and I am about to discover it. Doing my course I started tossing ideas in my head. More about this soon.
See you!
